Zoë Maria Sanders

I am a qualified relationship therapist, so my focus is helping people to navigate more rewarding relationships with all the people around them.

I see individuals and couples who are currently in a relationship, considering separation and divorce or who are already separated.. I also see individual clients who are struggling to find a relationship or who have repeated unsuccessful relationships.

I offer weekly individual and couples counselling – face-to-face, online and over the telephone.

My clients experience a variety of challenges including:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Low mood and depression

  • Low self-confidence

  • Communication problems

  • A general sense of turmoil or dissatisfaction

  • Difficulty changing their lifestyle or reaching significant decisions

I'm particularly interested in family issues, child-related issues and how parenting affects relationships throughout the parenting life cycle. I see individuals, couples and co-parents who are considering having children, are due to start a family or who already have children.

I have experience working with same-sex couples and I also like to work with clients from a variety of demographic and cultural backgrounds.

I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk about what is going on for you and to think together about how past experience might unconsciously be affecting you in the present.

My approach is predominantly couple and individual psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy. I am also integratively trained, so I draw from a number of different approaches to talking therapies and favour a style of psychotherapy that is active, fluid and will respond to your unique, shifting needs.

I work at CoupleFit and I am also a visiting clinician at Tavistock Relationships. I have a background in medical writing for the NHS and independent health information providers, with a focus on mental health, women's health, maternity and parenting.
